Town Church Friendship Tables
Some time ago it was decided to have a bench to commemorate club winners but the context changed slightly with the loss of
Alex de Gruchy and
Maureen Le Rossignol last year. We thought we could perhaps combine the two things.
So I pondered on this and came up with the idea of “
Friendship Tables”. 8 seater round picnic tables, provided by
Ransoms, that now reside in the grounds of the Town Church. Both the
Dean Bob Key and club member
Constable Simon Crowcroft supported the idea as a kind of communal gesture and to encourage people to venture into this small green sanctuary.
So if you are wondering where to eat your lunch or looking for somewhere to just quietly commune with nature for a moment then head down to the Town Church.
Plaques will be added at a later date. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to relax in some of this balmly weather.
