Jersey Oyster grow and export over 500 tons of oysters every
year, and sell about 150 tons of mussels to the local market
annually. The oysters are sold mainly to France, but other markets
include England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland. Jersey
Oysters regularly end up in many Paris and London restaurants. In
2008 these sales equated to over 23 million individual oysters!
In 2009 Jersey Oyster took over Happy Hens. This company
produces top quality free range eggs, and has around 8000 hens.
Jersey Oyster also have a 50% share in Rocquaine Shellfish, a
Guernsey based company that grows and exports shellfish from our
sister island.
